Lori Granger, , M.S., Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and director of The Center for Mindfulness in Fresno, specializes in mindfulness-based psychotherapy. Her work marries the practice of mindfulness meditation with cognitive skill building to help relieve anxiety, depression, addictions, emotional eating, multi-task stress, and obsessive thinking as well as relationship challenges.
Lori is a Zen lay practitioner ordained in the Soto Zen tradition. She teaches various Mindfulness Workshops including Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She has participated in numerous trainings with Jon Kabat-Zinn, Jack Kornfield, John Welwood and Tara Brach. Lori is adjunct faculty at California State University Fresno, teaching courses in Counseling and Psychotherapy.

Guided mindfulness meditation, movement and imagery will facilitate a deep learning experience on the journey toward a happier more contented you. Exploration and group sharing will provide the context for inquiry and connection.
In the midst of the magnificence of the Sierras we will practice formal sitting, walking meditation and mindful yoga and learn four keys to happiness:
Be present. Live the experience that you are having NOW!
Let go. Begin each day without yesterdays baggage
Tame your ego. Stop taking things personally
Cultivate Gratitude. Appreciate the blessings you already have

The Center for Mindfulness is a BBS certified Continuing Education Provider PCE # 4634.
This course as part of the Mindfulness as Intentional Mental Health Series meets the qualifications for 18 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and LCSWs
as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. $20 CE administration fee applies.
Please note: Although there are some yoga mats and meditation cushions available, for your own comfort, please
bring your own Yoga mat and if you have one, a meditation cushion.
