Far Horizons is sustained through the donated labor

of our presenters and volunteer camp staff, as well as the love

and financial support of our devoted members.

many of us who have been deeply and positively affected by the time

we have spent as staff members at Far Horizons. This may be the

summer for you to consider such a position for yourself.

<IMG SRC="images/pix_clear.gif" WIDTH="16" HEIGHT="5"> Becoming

a member of fellowship staff, or joining in one of our opening or

closing work parties entitles you to room and board at Far Horizons,

without cost. If you don't have the time to do more than attend

the program of your choice, but you would like to reduce your overall

costs by 50%, consider requesting a position as program staff.

Fellowship Staff: If you would like to pursue

a deeper connection to Far Horizons, and are 18 or older, consider

applying for a “fellowship staff ” position. They require a minimum

commitment of one month for duties such as cooking, raking/wood

gathering, maintenance, cleaning, or office work for 6 hours a day,

with one full day off each week in return for food, housing, and

everlasting gratitude. We schedule fellowship staff work to permit

attendance at the programs – whenever possible. All program, food,

and lodging fees are waived! If you want to live in a community

dedicated to an examined way of life, please contact Leah Lambros at

Program Staff: To attend a program AND lower

your costs, consider a position as "program staff". They receive

a 50% discount on lodging fees for each day they perform 4 hours

of work. Just indicate your interest at the bottom of the <A HREF="RegForm.pdf">reservation

form</A> and outline your skills on the back of it when you

mail it in with your deposit. Those accepted will be expected to

help out where most needed. Although guaranteed only through application

and approval by the Camp Director, such positions are often still

available upon arrival at camp. Just ask!

Work Parties for Camp Opening & Closing: Extra volunteers

join us each year in June and September to prepare the camp for

the next season. We offer free room and board for work days of 6-

8 hours in this most peaceful of times. Indicate your interest

at the bottom of the <A HREF="RegForm.pdf">reservation form</A>

and outline your skills on the back of it. Please mail it by
